Newbury Almshouse Trust

Newbury Almshouse Trust looks after the following almshouses in Newbury: Lower Raymond’s, Newtown Road; Upper Raymond’s, Newtown Road; St Bartholomew’s, Argyle Road; St Mary’s, Derby Road; Hunt’s, St David’s Road.

People aged 55 and over with at least three years’ residence in Newbury or its former (1974) Rural District, are eligible to apply. Fully completed applications will be considered by the Trustees.

Thatcham Almshouses

Thatcham Parochial Almshouse Charity consists of 14 self contained, centrally heated flats, situated in two Thatcham locations. Applicants have to currently reside in either the Thatcham, Cold Ash, Midgham or Greenham areas, be elderly and with a housing need.
